Common questions

Are my license and passport photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Photos of licenses, passports, IDs and other private documents, and their numbers, stay on your iPhone, inside the app. They're never uploaded to iCloud sync, never shared with family or shared homes, never put in PDFs, and they're locked with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. The only other copy is your iPhone's own device backup, if you use one.

How do I restore Pro on a new iPhone?

Settings > Pro in the app, then tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the Apple Account you bought with.

How do I cancel a subscription?

iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Phoenix Home Care Pro > Cancel Subscription. Pro stays on until the end of the paid period. Lifetime is one payment and never renews.

What does the free version include?

One home and up to 10 items (vehicle jobs, chores, plants, subscriptions and documents each count as an item; the home inventory doesn't). You get schedules, the Due list, history, last-done dates, vehicles, rooms, plant care, subscriptions totals, contacts, shut-offs and paint colors. Reminders on Free are for smoke alarms, CO alarms and fire extinguishers. Pro adds unlimited homes and items; reminders for every task, warranty, supply, subscription and document; label, receipt and warranty scanning; photos on tasks, plants, documents and the home inventory (including the walk-through video); Home Report, Sale Report and sitter sheet PDFs; the lawn calendar, pest and CPAP tracking; weather and recall alerts; spare parts and shopping list; QR labels and backup; and iCloud sync and family sharing. Homes others share with you work on Free.

How do I sync with my other devices or share with family?

iCloud sync and sharing a home are Pro (Settings > Family Sharing). Sign in to iCloud on each device. Homes shared with you work on Free. Private document photos, other photos, inventory videos and the street address stay on the iPhone that added them.

Why don't I see weather alerts?

Add a ZIP code to the home (Home tab > Edit) and check that Weather Alerts and notifications are on. Weather alerts are part of Pro.

The label scan got something wrong.

Fix any field before saving, or scan a second photo of the label to fill in what's missing. Sending us the photo by email helps us improve it.
