Filament Phoenix ("the app") helps you keep track of your 3D printer filament. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. In short: your data stays on your device. We don't collect it, see it or sell it.
Everything you enter stays only on your iPhone or iPad, in the app's own private storage:
Your rolls: brand, material, color, weights, locations, notes, prices, purchase dates
Print logs, shopping list items, drying sessions
Your settings (for example grams or ounces, °C or °F)
We have no servers, and the app doesn't send this information to us or anyone else. There are no accounts or sign-ups.
If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it, unless you saved a backup.
If your device is backed up by iCloud Backup or to a computer, Apple's backup includes the app's data, as it does for any app. That backup is controlled by you and Apple; we can't access it.
The camera is used only when you start a feature that needs it: scanning a roll's QR label, Photo Estimate, or Match from Photo.
Photos you take or pick from your library are processed on your device to read a QR code, estimate filament or find a color. The app doesn't upload them, and doesn't keep them after the estimate or match is done.
Picking a photo uses Apple's photo picker, which only gives the app the photo you choose.
"Save to Photos" for Color Charts asks for permission to add images to your library. The app can't read your library with this permission.
If you turn on drying reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. Nothing is sent through a server.
Backups, spreadsheet (CSV) exports, labels, color charts and shopping lists are created on your device. They go only where you choose to send them: Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, email, Messages or a printer, using Apple's share sheet. Once you send a file somewhere, that service's own privacy policy applies.
Filament Phoenix Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details, name or Apple Account. The app only checks with Apple whether Pro is unlocked on your account. See Apple's privacy policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.
The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. It doesn't use the advertising identifier and doesn't track you across other apps or websites.
If you have chosen in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. That is controlled by you and Apple, not by the app.
The app is suitable for all ages and doesn't knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date above. Because the app doesn't collect your data, any change will be described on this page.
